GENESIS LEGACY LOCAL NEWS INITIATIVE
Committed to Compassion Reporting
The Genesis Legacy News Initiative was created to bridge the gap in local news coverage by training and equipping residents to tell the stories that matter most in their communities. This initiative focuses on engaging upperclass high school students and journalism majors at local community colleges who are residents of these underreported areas, providing them with hands-on experience in community-driven storytelling, investigative reporting, and resource connection. By developing the next generation of journalists from within these communities, Genesis Legacy News ensures that local voices are amplified, histories are preserved, and critical issues receive the attention they deserve.
